Sports Betting Rules
1. General Rules
These General Rules govern all bets placed with Alwaysvegas and form part of the Terms and Conditions. By placing a bet, the customer acknowledges acceptance of these Rules and agrees to comply with them in respect of all bets placed on the Alwaysvegas platform.
- Acceptance of Bets: Bets are accepted online through Alwaysvegas on events displayed on the platform. Bets placed by any other means shall not be recognised for settlement.
- Eligibility and Identity: The customer must satisfy age and identity verification requirements applicable to the jurisdiction where Alwaysvegas operates. Alwaysvegas reserves the right to suspend or terminate accounts failing such verification.
- Minimum and Maximum Bet: The minimum bet amount is 0.50 USD per market. The maximum bet per event is set by Alwaysvegas and may vary by event, market, and setting; Alwaysvegas may further apply limits at its sole discretion without notice.
- Binding Effect of Bets: Once a bet has been entered and confirmed, the customer is bound by the wager. Bets cannot be cancelled or altered by the customer after confirmation. Alwaysvegas may cancel or refuse any bet prior to the event’s start for reasons including, but not limited to, risk management and market integrity.
- Prices and Price Errors: Bets are settled at the odds prevailing at the time of acceptance, subject to correction for obvious pricing errors. If an error is found, Alwaysvegas may void the affected bets or revise settlement at its sole discretion.
- Multiple Bets Within the Same Event: Bets that combine different selections within the same event where the outcome of one selection affects another are not accepted. If placed in error, such bets may be cancelled at Alwaysvegas’ discretion.
- Action and Suspensions: Alwaysvegas may suspend, modify, or close betting on an event before it commences. Bets on suspended events may be deemed no action unless the event resumes and reaches an official conclusion within the applicable time frame.
- Official Results and Verification: Settlement is based on the official result published by the governing body or the event’s official data source. If the official result cannot be verified, Alwaysvegas may delay settlement or void the bet as appropriate.
- Disputed Bets: If a dispute arises, claims must be lodged in writing within 30 days of the event’s conclusion. Alwaysvegas will review and resolve disputes in accordance with its internal procedures.
2. Settlement and Results
Alwaysvegas settles bets on the basis of the final outcome as determined by the event’s governing body or the official data source used for settlement. Where a result cannot be verified, settlement may be delayed or the bet voided in accordance with these Rules.
- Official Result Determination: The official result used for settlement is the final result as published by the governing body or the recognized official source. If later changes are made by the governing body, Alwaysvegas may adjust the settlement in accordance with the official change.
- Non-Starting Participants: If a participant or team does not start the event, bets on markets involving that participant may be voided at Alwaysvegas’ discretion. If all participants fail to start or are disqualified, affected bets may be voided.
- Draws and Pushes: For two‑way markets where the outcome is a draw, the market is void with stakes returned, unless the market rules specify otherwise.
- Abandonments and Cancellations: If an event is abandoned or postponed and not completed within the time frames stated in the sport’s rules, settled bets shall be determined as follows unless stated otherwise for the sport: open bets are settled on the final result if the event resumes and is completed within 48 hours; otherwise, undecided bets are voided.
- Suspended or Incomplete Events: If an event is suspended and not completed within the applicable period, bets may be voided unless the events’ governing rules specify otherwise. Alwaysvegas will determine action where required by the sport’s official rules.
3. Live Betting
Live bets are accepted on events in progress. Live odds are updated in real time to reflect the course of play, and wagers are settled based on the actual final outcomes or the official in‑play rules of the sport. Alwaysvegas may suspend, suspend and resume, or close live betting at any time.
- Timing and Acceptance: Bets placed during live play are binding at the moment of acceptance. If a displayed price is evidently erroneous, Alwaysvegas may void the bet or revise settlement accordingly.
- Verification and Results: For events in progress, settlement is based on the official result or the official in‑play data source. Bets on players not participating in the event may be voided where applicable.
- Dispute Window: Claims arising from live bets must be submitted within 24 hours from the start of the event or as otherwise required by Alwaysvegas policy.
4. Postponements, Abandonments, and Cancellations
Rules governing postponements, abandonments, and cancellations apply across sports and are supplemented by sport‑specific provisions. Alwaysvegas reserves the right to determine the applicable settlement outcome in accordance with the sport’s governing regulations.
- Postponement: If a match is postponed, bets remain valid only if the match resumes and concludes according to the sport’s official rules within the prescribed time frame. If not resumed within 48 hours, bets may be deemed no action or void as applicable to the sport.
- Resumption and Completion: When a match resumes, settlement shall be based on the updated official result upon completion. In cases where completion is not achieved, bets may be voided or settled as the sport rules dictate.
- Cancellations: If a match is canceled prior to completion and no official result is declared, affected bets are typically voided and stakes returned.
5. Markets and Bet Types
Alwaysvegas offers a range of betting markets. This section describes the core categories and how they are settled. Where sport‑specific rules apply, they take precedence over general rules.
- Pre‑Match Markets: Moneyline (selecting the winner), Handicap (spread), Totals (over/under), and other standard markets conventional to the sport.
- Outright Markets: Futures and season‑end markets that determine the winner of a competition or title, settled on the competition’s official results.
- Head‑to‑Head and Props: Markets based on direct comparatives between participants. If a market requires a participant to finish, non‑finish results can render bets void as defined by the sport rules.
- Live Markets: Markets offered during the event, including in‑play totals, props, and arc markets. Live bet settlements utilize the official result or governing body data.
- Dead Heat and Rounding: Dead heat rules apply to outright markets where applicable; settlement factors are determined by the number of tied participants and the sport’s official procedures.
6. Sport‑Specific Rules
Sport‑specific rules supplement the General Rules and take precedence where applicable, except for player markets which have their own rules as stated elsewhere.
- American Football: Overtime is included for certain markets unless excluded by market description. A market may be settled based on the end of regulation or the end of overtime per the market rules. Drives, penalties, and other play descriptions are settled according to the official scoring rules.
- Basketball: Overtime is included in applicable markets. Quarters/halves must be completed for action unless otherwise stated. The official result from the governing body governs settlement.
- Baseball: Games are official after the designated number of innings; if the game is suspended, final scoring is based on the last complete inning unless the home team’s situation changes the outcome. Run lines and totals require the game to reach the full scheduled innings unless a specified advancement applies.
- Hockey: The game is official after the standard period length; overtime goals are included in the final result for rinks and market descriptions that include overtime unless the market specifies otherwise.
7. Odds, Settlement, and Adjustments
All settlements are based on decimal odds. Alwaysvegas reserves the right to suspend, suspend and reopen, or adjust odds in response to market conditions, errors, or regulatory requirements. If a bet is placed after an outcome has become known, it will be void or refunded as applicable.
8. Cashout and Bet Management
Cashout is available for certain single and accumulator bets. The option is subject to technical availability and may be withdrawn at any time. To exercise Cashout, navigate to the bet in My Bets and select Cashout if available. Cashout offers are independent of the final result and may reflect the real‑time value of the bet.
9. Responsible Gambling and Compliance
Alwaysvegas operates in compliance with applicable anti‑money laundering, know‑your‑customer, and data protection requirements. Players must be of legal age and pass identity verification. Players are encouraged to set limits and contact Alwaysvegas for support if gambling becomes harmful.
10. General Provisions
These Rules may be amended by Alwaysvegas at any time. Changes will apply to bets placed after the effective date unless otherwise stated. In the event of conflict with any paragraph in these Rules, sport‑specific rules shall prevail for that sport.
